Privacy policy
What we collect on roasexpert.com, why we collect it, who else gets it, how long we keep it and how to see, change or delete it.
Last updated 6 October 2026.
Who we are
ROAS Expert is run by Westside Techno Consultants, Ring Road 2, Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh 495001, India. We decide why and how the personal data in this policy is used. Under EU and UK law that makes us the controller, and under Indian law the data fiduciary.
Questions and requests about your data go to Rishabh Gupta, our founder, at rishabh@roasexpert.com. He’s also our grievance officer for India.
This policy covers this website, enquiries, calls and job applications. It doesn’t cover data we handle for clients as part of our work. The contract with each client covers that.
What we collect and why
When you fill in the contact form
We ask for your first name, last name and email address. You can also add your company, phone number and a message. We use these to reply, to talk about your project and, if you ask, to send a proposal. The form uses Google reCAPTCHA to block spam, which is covered in the next section.
When you book a call
The booking page asks for your name and email address and records the time you pick and anything you type into it. It adds the call to our calendar and emails you a confirmation with the details for joining.
When you email us
We keep your emails and our replies so we can follow the conversation.
When you apply for a job
If you write to careers@roasexpert.com, we use your CV and anything else you send to consider you for the role.
When you browse the site
Our hosting provider logs each request, with your IP address, browser, the page and the time, to keep the site running and secure. Our analytics and advertising tools record the pages you view, what you click, how you got here (including the click ID when you arrive from an ad), your device and browser, and your rough location worked out from your IP address. If you’re in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, they only do this after you accept them. The next section names each tool.
Cookies and other tools
Necessary cookies are always on. If you’re in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, analytics and advertising tools stay off until you accept them in our cookie banner, and you can choose by category. Everywhere else they load with the page, and you can block them in your browser settings or with the opt-out links in the table.
If you turn analytics cookies off, Google Analytics can still send Google a basic signal without cookies, such as that a page loaded. Google uses these signals to estimate visits it can’t measure directly.
| Tool | Type | What it does | More from the provider |
|---|---|---|---|
| HubSpot | Necessary and analytics | Hosts the site and runs the contact form, booking page and cookie banner. Enquiries are stored in our HubSpot account. Its analytics cookies (__hstc, hubspotutk, __hssc, __hssrc) count visits and connect them to your enquiry if you send one. It also loads some of the advertising tags below. | HubSpot privacy policy |
| Google reCAPTCHA | Necessary | Checks that a person, not a bot, is sending the contact form. It uses your IP address, browser details and how you use the page. | Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service |
| Google Analytics | Analytics | Measures visits and how people move through the site (_ga cookies). | How Google uses information from sites that use its services and the opt-out browser add-on |
| Microsoft Clarity | Analytics | Records clicks, scrolling and mouse movement on our pages to build heatmaps and session replays, so we can see where a page confuses people (_clck, _clsk). | Microsoft Privacy Statement |
| Google Ads | Advertising | Shows which Google ads lead to enquiries and lets us show ads to people who’ve visited. When you send the contact form, it sends Google a scrambled (SHA-256 hashed) copy of your email address to match the enquiry to an ad click. | How Google uses cookies in advertising and My Ad Center |
| Microsoft Advertising | Advertising | Shows which ads on Bing and Microsoft’s network lead to enquiries and lets us show ads to people who’ve visited (_uetsid, _uetvid). Microsoft collects or receives personal data from you and from us to provide Microsoft Advertising. | Microsoft Privacy Statement and Microsoft ad settings |
| Meta Pixel | Advertising | Shows which Facebook and Instagram ads lead to enquiries and lets us show ads to people who’ve visited (_fbp, _fbc). | Meta Privacy Policy. To opt out of interest-based ads: aboutads.info/choices or youronlinechoices.eu |
| LinkedIn Insight Tag | Advertising | Shows which LinkedIn ads lead to enquiries, gives us totals on the kinds of companies and roles that visit, and lets us show ads to people who’ve visited. | LinkedIn Privacy Policy and LinkedIn ad settings |
We host the site’s own fonts ourselves rather than loading them from Google Fonts.
Change your choice
If you’re in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, this button opens the cookie banner again so you can change what you allowed.
Elsewhere there’s no banner to reopen. You can clear or block cookies in your browser and use the opt-out links above.
How we use and share it
Our legal bases in the EEA and the UK
- Replying to enquiries, holding calls and sending proposals: steps you’ve asked us to take before a contract, and our legitimate interest in answering business enquiries.
- Working with clients: carrying out our contract.
- Invoices and business records: our legal obligations.
- Keeping the site running and free of spam: our legitimate interest in a working, secure site.
- Analytics and advertising tools: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- Job applications: steps you’ve asked us to take before a contract.
Who else gets your data
- The providers of the tools above. HubSpot processes data on our behalf. Google, Microsoft, Meta and LinkedIn also use data from their tools for their own purposes, such as measuring and targeting ads, under their own privacy policies.
- If you become a client, the specialists who work on your project, such as developers, see what they need for that work.
- Professional advisers, such as accountants, and authorities when the law requires it.
We don’t sell your personal data for money. The advertising tools do let Google, Microsoft, Meta and LinkedIn use data about your visit for ads, as described above, and you control that with the cookie banner and the opt-out links.
Data outside your country
We’re based in India, and most of our tools are run by companies in the United States. So wherever you are, your data is stored and used outside your country. These providers offer safeguards for moving data between countries, such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses, and several of them are certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries, bookings and emails: while we’re talking. If you become a client, for the length of our work together and then for as long as Indian tax and accounting law requires us to keep business records. If we don’t end up working together, we delete them once we no longer need them to follow up, or sooner if you ask.
- Job applications: until we fill the role, unless you ask us to keep yours for future roles.
- Analytics and advertising data: for the periods each provider sets. You can clear these cookies in your browser at any time.
- Server logs: for the period HubSpot sets.
Your rights
Wherever you are
You can ask what personal data we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it.
In the EEA and the UK
You can also ask us to restrict how we use your data, object to our use of it, and get a copy in a format you can take elsewhere. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. That doesn’t affect what we did before. You can complain to your local data protection authority, or in the UK to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
In India
You can ask for a summary of the data we hold about you and who we’ve shared it with, ask us to correct or erase it, and raise a grievance with our grievance officer. Once the main parts of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 take effect, you can also nominate someone to use these rights for you, and, after using our grievance process, complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
How to ask
Email rishabh@roasexpert.com from the address you used with us, or tell us how we can check it’s you. We reply within one month.
Security, children and changes
Security
The site runs on HubSpot and every page loads over HTTPS. Only the people who need your data for the work can see it. No system is completely secure, so if a breach affects your data, we’ll tell you, and the authorities where the law requires it.
Children
This site is for businesses. We don’t knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you think a child has sent us personal data, email us and we’ll delete it.
Changes to this policy
When we change this policy, we’ll post the new version here and update the date at the top. If a change affects data you’ve already given us, we’ll tell you directly.
